Football fundraising

Fundraising software built for football programs

Football rosters are big, budgets are bigger, and the fundraising tools most programs use were designed for bake sales. HometownLift gives every player a personal donation page, lets your booster club run coordinated campaigns, and keeps the money flowing without selling product door-to-door.

The challenge

What makes this fundraising harder than it should be

Rosters with 50-100+ athletes

Varsity, JV, and freshmen squads mean dozens of families to coordinate. Spreadsheets and group texts break down fast when you need to track who shared their page, who hit their goal, and where the money actually went.

Equipment and travel costs add up fast

Helmets, pads, game jerseys, and away-game travel can push a single season past $20,000. Traditional fundraisers like car washes and candy sales rarely move the needle on costs this large.

Booster club volunteers juggle too many tools

One parent runs Venmo, another tracks checks in a notebook, and the treasurer reconciles it all in a spreadsheet at midnight. There is no single source of truth for who donated, how much came in, or what is still outstanding.

Donors hesitate when fees eat into their gift

Family and friends want every dollar to reach the team. When processing fees silently reduce a $50 donation to $47, donors feel misled and coaches hear about it.

The HometownLift approach

One platform for every player, every campaign, every dollar

Personal athlete pages for every roster spot

Each player gets a shareable donation page with their name, photo, and goal. Family and community members donate directly to the athlete they want to support, and every dollar is tracked in real time.

Booster club dashboard with full visibility

See donations across every player and campaign from a single dashboard. Filter by squad, sort by progress, and export treasurer-ready reports without copying data between apps.

Donor-paid fees keep 100% for the team

Donors choose to cover the processing fee at checkout. Most do, which means the team keeps the full donation amount instead of losing a cut to payment processing.

Campaign pages that match your program

Set your school colors, upload your logo, and launch a branded campaign page in minutes. Share one link for the whole program or individual links for each athlete.

FAQ

Common questions

Can we run separate campaigns for JV and varsity?

Yes. You can create as many campaigns as you need under one organization. Each campaign has its own goal, timeline, and participant list, and all donations roll up to your org-level dashboard.

How do we handle a 70-player roster?

Upload your roster via CSV and every player gets a personal page automatically. Coaches or booster club admins can add, edit, or remove participants at any time during the campaign.

Do donors have to create an account to give?

No. Donors land on the athlete page, enter their amount and payment info, and they are done. No account, no login, no app download required.

Can our booster club treasurer export donation data?

Yes. The reporting dashboard lets you export all donations as a CSV with donor name, amount, date, fee coverage, and which athlete received the gift. It is ready for your bookkeeping software.
